I have decided to sell my XBOX 360 as I rarely use it and no longer need it for HD-DVD. However, before I list it on eBay I want to remove my username and information that might be on there. Is there an easy way to do this? Will the downloaded arcade games I bought (Defender, etc) be available to the new owner?

Thanks for your help, I'm really not up to speed on this thing!

Reformat your 360 to factory defaults, it should be on the systems* slide, then go to the Hard Drive options it should wipe your whole HDD out.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.

IcEWoLF,

Thanks for the response. Will formatting the HD wipe out all of the "updates" that the unit seems to always do when I turn it on? If so, the new owners will have a lot of updates to do!

Thanks

I think they will just get the latest update and not have to get all the prior ones. But for any game updates it will get whenever they play a game that requires an update.

Thanks Brad. That's too bad, as it seems that there have been many many updates that I've done since I got it, but if that's how it's done, so be it.

When new updates are out, the old ones are included too, so they may need to update their 360 once or twice, and probably a separate update for games like GoW/Halo 3 and few other games.

Anyone playing 'Eye of Judgement' on the PS3?
