how to delete schedule programe on rec VIP612DVR ?

I have scheduale few programe for recording on my 612 dvr. I want to delete those programe for good. why it won't let me ? It will let me to skip it and restore it. Just skipping won't help me cuz it comes back on the schedule for next day. In that case I have to skip it again. I want to delete them permanently. Please help.

Find the timer for it and delete that.

Easiest way is to go to the list of events (DVR button 3 times or menu-7), find the next occurrence and then the timer (not the skip button). There you press the delete button. It's gone.
