How to delete individual channels, and not the whole list?

So far everytime that an attempt to erase individual satellite channels, I wind up deleting the whole list. What am I doing wrong. Brian wrote somewhere how to do it, cannot remember where, and haven't found the post or thread.

from the channel list screen
blue button to get into EDIT
blue button again to pop up delete option
press OK on the channels you want to delete
when done press exit twice. Should ask "do you want to delete?"
press YES
done

or if you want to remove a bunch from one satellite what I do is select that satellite only so the list only shows that sat (like 91W)
blue button to edit
yellow button to delete all (from that list)
then I press blue button and select the channels I want to keep (the 2 ABC News feeds)
then press exit and it will delete only the feeds
