I am trying to help my inlaws remotely. I need to delete all channels in their Fortec Mercury II. I was telling them to go and follow these steps:

1- Press Menu
2- Go to third menu, Channel manager
3- Choose Channel Edit
4- Press the blue key in the remote, when the menu comes select delete and press OK.

No luck, not deleting anything. I remember when I installed that dish I was able to delete all channels after initial testing. I delete all at once. But I do not have that receiver here in my house so I can not guide them how to exactly do that.

Can anybody tell me step by step on how to delete all channels. I need it so that when I have them blind scan only the scanned channels will show so I can tell where their dish is pointing too. Right now they have a lot of channels and it is getting hard to do.

Thanks for any helpl.

I dont know of any way to delete all channels at one time except with a factory reset. What I do is

1 Press Menu
2 Go to 4th (Utility) and choose first option (Edit Satellite)
3 Go to 3rd option (Delete Satellite)
4 Go to 2nd option (Delete Channel)

This will delete all channels for the satellite you have selected.

DO NOT go to the 3rd option and delete the satellite:
