The microHD just arrived about an hour ago.
Connected the satellite dish LNBF to the unit. Connected the future USB 2.0 DVR to the USB 2.0 section of the unit. Connected the HDMI cable to the unit and TV. So far I am not using the tricolor cable and this cable do not look like it will connect to the OTA. Connected the power supply and cord to the unit, but have not powered up or updated yet.

The only thing that is needed, is finding a way of interfacing my OTA to the microHD. Just few minutes ago this was accomplished by using two "Diplexers" to connect the sateliite and the OTA coaxial to my now ( put to bed) Fortec Lifetime Ultra.

Can someone please guide me in the right direction so the wife be able to see the local channels, right now I am brain dead. LOL!!.

Thanking You in advance.

Use the diplexers just like you did with the Ultra. Hook up the LNB to the first diplexer to it's SAT connection. Hook up your OTA antenna to the diplexors TV connection --> run one cable from the first diplexer to the second diplexer using the IN/OUT connections. Hook up the second diplexor's SAT connection to the "Satellite In" port on the microHD and the TV connection to the antenna connection on your TV.:)

Thanks wescopc, got so happy on receiving the microHD, that all common sense went out of the window.
Got the OTA area working fine, now having problems on obtaining a good quality signal.

It has been a looong day, and will tackle that problem tomorrow.
Thanks again.

Can someone draw a diagram? I have the micro HD and am getting exceptional channels from an old antenna in the attic.
Trying to picture the instructions, but I just don't get it...

Mark,

In your case there is no reason to combine the off air antenna signal with the satellite signal, then break it out again. The microHD doesn't tune terrestrial TV channels, so no need to connect the attic antenna into the coax and unnecessarily degrade both signal sources.

The coax cable from the dish will connect to the micrHD and the coax cable from the terrestrial antenna in the attic will connect directly to the TV antenna jack. Use your TV to tune and watch the local channels then select the HDMI input to watch satellite.

It doesn't process OTA signals.
Few FTA receivers have ever tried, none have done well, and (I think) all are gone.

The main reason people use diplexers is either they won't spend the money on another long cable run, or...
they live in an apartment and can't drill access holes.

Everybody else should run independent cables as SatAV mentioned, above. ;)
