I want to expand my HD space to the max. If I use a USB splitter, how man hard drives can I connect to my Hopper 3? Does it work with a USB splitter on the USB 3.0 port? I'd rather not use the front USB port for aesthetic reasons. Thanks.

Use a powered USB hub. Connect as many as you like, but Hoppers will only see 2, or 3 of them at a time.

what really happens if I buy a 6TB EHD? I was thiking of a WD MyBook powered EHD, just like Dish recommends, but 6TB instead of 2TB. Has anyone tried this?

Some have had success with 3 TB but I believe only 2TB is seen. Supposedly this is due to chipset limitations, so no s/w update can fix it.

With a powered USB hub my H3's see 3 EHD's at the same time. The old Hopper UI see's 2 at a time.

Hopper 3 sort by option

Location/direction of satellite for my house.....
