How long will TIVO last?

If I take the plunge and get the H10-250, how long will I be able to use the TIVO feature? Is this not a big deal because of the force swap out in the future regarding HD channels and moving to MPEG-4 format? What about SD DVR units that have TIVO like the one I have in my bedroom? Will TIVO work for years down the road?

as long as you want, the swapout will be voluntary for sometime then later it maybe forced
its a crapshot i got my hr10-250 last thansgiving and i too was worrried about how much use i would get until swapout but so far so good

D* recently signed a 3 year support agreement with Tivo, so you should be good for a couple of years.
