With my Pansat 3500, if I run a satellite scan and the receiver detects an existing channel with new PIDs, it will create a duplicate channel listing as opposed to just updating the PIDs of the existing channel listing. That said, I'm curious if this is how most receivers handle a change of PIDs for existing channels, or if some receivers will just update the PIDs of the existing channel.

my Pansat 1500 does the same thing
Fortec does the same too
Buzz will do the duplicate channels
Coolsat will override it (which is bad in my mind). The Coolsat will override the odl channel if there are new PIDS or a new symbol rate. This is bad as some of the channels in mine are sports feeds. I dont want to lose them

The rest of my boxes are manual scan (no blind scan) but they will keep the old channels
