How does Directv determine which movies to show in HD for PPV

Just wondering, how does Directv determine which movies to show in HD on the HD PPV channel? It seems when I want to see a particular movie, they will not show it in HD.

Wouldn't I like to know the answer to this one!!! I'd e-mail Bob but I doubt he filters down that low on the food chain. I would imagine you are of the same opinion I am and that is ... "let's find the worst PPV sellers and run them in HD so we might make an extra buck."

They give all the movies for the month a number, and paint numbers on the back of cockroaches and turn them loose in a maze....You get the idea. and I get to eat the loosers..

Whatever their approach is, it sucks! Seriously, I won't consider ordering a PPV that is not in HD, so they won't get any more PPV$ from me for a while. Not that I'm a PPV junkie that is putting all the D* exec's kids through college or anything, but I was always good for 1 or two a month in the past. Here's an idea... if you need more bandwidth for more HD, drop about 5 of the friggin shopping channels. Wouldn't miss em. How could I with all the others still there?
