How do I get a third Hopper

got 2 already, total tvs=7. having lot of recording conflicts with other family memebers. Need a third Hopper. Called Dish they said they e-mailed hopper team and they will get back to me. Been 72 hours no one has called. Any help ? Don't mind paying charges. think is $ 100.00 and $12 pm.

You will need to purchase a third Hopper. Leasing is NOT an option.

I think you have to buy the Hopper (it'll be more than $100), but DIRT will be the definitive answer. Go to the main Forum page and scroll to the bottom, looking for DIRT users in red. ?PM one of them.

I have 3 Hoppers. Yes, you have to purchase the third Hopper. Hooking it up is up to you. Once you get it connected, just call dish to get it activated. Pretty straight forward.

As it has been said you will need to purchase the 3rd Hopper. Accounts are limited to 6 leased tuners.

OP: think what was meant that it was stated in a post that it was "up to you" to install the 3rd Hopper was that you would have to pay to have it installed, not that you install it yourself, unless you really know what you are doing.

Dish agents, under the "Purchase Receiver" option, have the option to ship the receiver, expedite ship the receiver, or have the receiver installed. The reason for the first two would be if a customer buys a 625 to replace a 322, or a 722 to replace a 222, the customer should be able to make the change without an installer (although, for a lot of customers, that's giving too much credit). For something like a third hopper, the customer would purchase the hopper, and it would be done though the install the receiver option. If the customer does not have the protection plan, the tech visit to install it would be $95. With the protection plan, it'll be $15 (or zero for some cases).
