I have 2 standard receivers and one DVR receiver connected to a SAM3402 3X4 Multiswitch. I want to replace one of the standard receiver with a DVR receiver.

Currently 2 cables go to the DVR and 1 to each of the other receivers. Can I split the signal from one of the cables (13 or 18) to run the new DVR?

Directv wants $188.00 for the new unit with installation.

Thank you for your help

Thank you, I will get DirecTV to install it. They will now do it for $153.00. Just saw the 6x8 for $59.00. The DVR costs $99 so Directv's offer is a great deal.

Thanks for the "Buy a 6x8 multiswitch." it helped me with the decision.

If you don't need HD, you could connect another 3x4 to 2 of the outputs of your current switch. This will get you a total of 6 outputs. The 6x8 is a good idea for future upgrades.
