How are moderators selected?

We look for people who are helpful and know their stuff. 
We look for folks who enjoy talking about this hobby, people who can add value to a thread without adding their two cents just to make them look smart, like you see at other places.
Our moderators are friendly and work hard to make everyone feel welcome, and they do a damn good job at it.
Helping folks is what we are all about, we are proud to have some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people anywhere here at SatelliteGuys.US.
Unlike other forums we do not just post a message saying we are looking for help, then have the first person who replies get the job.

I will say we have the absolute best moderators on the web here at Satelliteguys.

Just wanted to add they must be able to tell jokes, juggle, and warm the cockles of all members hearts...and put up with some really twisted attempts at humor too!

i remember when i first joined this site looking for some answers. every other board will give you the typical answer of - do a search - .
