Hotel Recommendation near IAD

I've found a very good Residence Inn hotel in the Dulles Airport area, Rt. 28 and Waxpool Rd. Last month I was out here for a few days and stayed at the Embassy Suites nearby, and I wasn't impressed. The made to order breakfast was good, but there was no free high speed internet access.

So this time I looked around for something else, and found the Residence a few blocks away. Not only does it have free high speed internet, but one of the two televisions in the room is a flat panel 40" LG HDTV! And it gets the local digital channels, as well as ESPN-HD, HBO-HD, HDNET, Universal-HD and a few more HD channels. All this and a friendly, competent staff. I may stay here for two weeks!

They have HD in the hotel room? Wow. That is a first. Cool.

I stayed there two years ago. No 40" then, but a very nice experience overall.

Well, if you are going to be in the area for a while, make sure you visit the Air and Space Museum's Dulles Annex. Its got a lot of great planes in there

and tons of smaller planes.

Its free to get it, but $12 parking.
