Hookup ? of 811 & VCR with S-video

On page 11 of 811's manual it says to hook up S-video cable from 811 to S-video input of S-video equipped VCR. BUT it doesn't say anything about your TV. Do I also run an S-video cord to back of my TV from VCR and 811? If so, in what order? Thanks.
