I got notice I may get a year free credit protection.

Any thoughts on pros or cons on accepting it?

I may have gotten caught up in this, got an email today from BofA that they are sending me a new credit card with a different number. Haven't seen any bad charges. I already check all my banking activity daily after several instances of fraud long ago.

I accepted one of these offers from my credit union after the Target fiasco. Other than getting an email every month, it seemed innocuous enough.
