HIC to relocate WJ Access Point?

I have been reading some info on using one, due to intermittent connectivity problems (at present, WAP is near H3, about 75' away from wireless joey). I'm wanting find out if the following will work to relocate the WAP:

1. At a wired joey location (closer to WJ room), connect HIC to incoming cable, pass through port to Joey.

2. Ethernet from HIC to WAP

Anybody have such a config and does it work? Thanks.
