Hi from a total newbe

Hi every one.
I am retired and live in Portland, Oregon. Looking for a hobby and ran across info on FTA.
I am really interested in true FTA so I was happy to find this site. I know almost nothing about FTA so I will be doing a lot of reading here before I start asking questions. That way hopefuly I won't be asking things that are already here to be found just by looking.
Really looking forward to getting set up, but I need to read and read and read, so I will know what to buy.
SO for the mean time I will be searching the forums and reading post.
