I've got a DirecTv install that I no longer use. But I have the dish and a SWS8WB-P splitter. I want to hook up an outdoor antenna on the dish mast to get OTA signals.

Here's what I've done.

1. Disconnected the coax from the satellite dish.
2. Installed the coax that formerly went into the dish into my roof antenna.

Basically, I'm using the same wiring scheme, but instead of going into a DVR box, the coax is going into a DTV converter box.

PROBLEM: I am not getting any signals.

Can you help me troubleshoot this?

Thanks for your help.

Is that splitter designed to work with the frequencies used by UHF and VHF TV? Maybe try bypassing the splitter and see if the signal can drive one or more TVS individually.
