Help With Dual Tuner VIP612

I hope this makes sence. I had Dish Install a two room service Main room is a VIP 612 Second room is a VIP 211k.

I called Dish Network because I need another room and they wanted $$$$$$ for another box, the problem that I have with this is the VIP 612 is a dual tuner. In the second bedroom hooked to the VIP 211K is some sort of power box and when it is unpluged I loose all Satillite.

Can you please help me under stand how to hook this up.

The only thing I can think of that would cause this is the power supply for a DPP44 switch. However, I can't think of any reason they would have installed a 44 switch for the configuration you have. A little more info is needed..

The problem with the 612, although a dual tuner, it is a single output receiver. You can run a coax to the third room, it will be viewing the same program.

He probably has a 1000+ dish which is why there is a DPP 44 switch. International programing.

This could also be one of those goofy multi-dish bi-arc installs.

The power inserter has nothing to do with what the OP is asking and mentioning it only confuses the issue.

If the OP wanted three rooms, they should have ordered three rooms. As they've discovered, adding a third room after the fact is spendy.

What we need to have answered:

1. Is the third TV HD or SD?

2. Does it need to have independent programming and control?
