Hello,

I purchased a Digitrans off of e-bay and it works ok but on some channels I do not get any audio? Is this normal? I contacted the seller but he will not answer my emails. Sometimes the audio cuts in/out for a few seconds but then it dies again. Anyone have any ideas on what to do? I hope he did not sell me a bum unit!

Thanks

I have a Digitrans 7150 also. I was trying to watch the Emmy Awards in 4:2:2 last night using the DVB tuner. Video was fine but audio kept dropping out. Musicam kept showing up and disappearing in the audio display. I'm not sure what the problem was. I've had audio problems before. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I have one of these units, I had the same problem with some DVB Mpeg-2 Audio streams as you describe, I had mine swaped out with another one and it had the same issue. Do you have any problems with DCII/AC3 audio channels? or is it just certian DVB channels? If so which ones? I will be happy to check them out for you to see if I have any problems. From my memory I believe WB was one of the ones that did not work right, but because of that audio bug I really only use it for DCII feeds.

Are you using the analog audio outputs?

Hit the audio button on the front panel, under the type does it flash when it is having problems?

I had that feed on last night w/my Alteia. I had no audio problems. Surely it has to be a bug w/the Digitrans.

thanks guys

dcii channels work ok from what i can tell.

Do you mean the WB channels on g4? if so i do not get any audio either =( man i wish i knew this before i bought it. thanks for the quick answers, even if it was not a happy ending!! =(

Yes, I meant the ones on G16. Sorry it did not work out for you. One idea if you do not have any more 422 boxes, even tho it is a pain, is to use a normal DVB receiver for audio, and use the Digitrans for video. The sync should be close (or in sync), not good for channel surfing but if you want to watch one event/channel it may be worth it.

Just trying to put a positive spin to it :)

I didn't mess with it very long. I switched to the Twinhan card and had no problems either. I don't use the Digitrans much for DVB. I mainly use it for DCII.

The BER lights are completely off when i am locked onto the wb signals. dvb box shows 99% for signal.

No audio for me either for WB on Galaxy 16 with the Digitrans 7150. The signal is strong with no BER lights on.

Strange... My Digitrans is not hooked up now (still haven't permanently re-connected everything since Katrina)... I'll try to hook it up within a couple of days and check that channel on my unit.
