Help Please

Hello –
Long time listener, first time caller.
I am having a recent problem with one of my HD DVD Receivers. While I am watching a recorded show the screen either freezes up or the while fast forwarding thru commercials the program I am watching resets to the beginning. I have reset the box several times, but it was not helped the problem.
Any of you wonderful people have any suggestions or am I SOL and need to get a new unit ?

Most probably a failing hard drive in your HD DVR. Sorry.

like posted above,yes you will need a new unit.it does sound like a failing hard drive. I don't know if reformatting would help either.
