You need to call Dish or DirecTV if you want it all. If you want Free To Air (FTA) then you will need a 30-36 inch dish and be satisfied with the offerings that are free. You will not get movie channels like HBO, you will not get all of the networks. But you can get a PBS, Create, religious, ethnic and a potluck of news feeds. It is a great hobby but not a direct replacement for your cable. You can get a system from one of the sponsors above such as SatelliteAV. Take a look at a couple of sites to see what you can get:
http://www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistKuBandUS.html
FTAList.com - The easy list of North American free-to-air TV channels

Just so it's clear, if someone tells you that FTA allows them to receive everything that you can get on Cable ---- well they are stealing! If a receiver needs to have special software installed or uses "keys" or "bin" files then that is illegal. We don't condone that as a matter of principal and law on this forum.
Welcome and good luck,
Bob

well

thank you soo much those link helped me out alot but i still have some ?
i dont think i can ask them in here though

what info did you want? As Bob noted, if you're looking to steal you picked the wrong place. Now if you are looking for TRUE free to air then ask away :)

no

i was just wondering what type of lnb, dish would be better to recive hd channels? and which satallite has the hbo channels cuz thats all i want and im going to tell my provider so they can charge me for it but i wanna see the quality first you know
if they install it they gonna charge me no matter what theyre a$$hole
