Help needed with the OTA signal.

I have a Hughes Tivo unit and can not get it to show my OTA channels. I had my antenna line hooked directly to the back of the "RF In" on my receiver. However, it does not output it to my TV. Am I missing something? When I plug the antenna directly into the TV it works fine.

This wouldn't be a problem, but I'd like to run a line from the "RF Out" to another room and get both OTA and Satellite on the same line. I have an old house and wiring is a real pain.

A friend has a Sony HD 300 and he has his set up this way. It seems to work fine. Any help would be appreciated.

The Tivo won't tune the OTA channels your TV has to tune them. If you want to connect the TV antenna to the back of the TiVo you need to shut off(standby mode) the receiver so it will pass the signal on the coax to the TV.
