Hello all,
Last night I was playing around with my 1.2M channel master trying to tune in some atlantic satellites (my location is near Toronto). I have calculated a list of what satellites with transponders I should be able to see from my location:
az/el @ skew
58 - PAS9 ( 149.3 / 35.1 @ -21.7 )
43 - PAS 6B/3R ( 132 / 27.6 @ -32.5 )
37.5 - T11 ( 126.7 / 24.3 @ -35.6 )
30 - HISPA ( 119.8 / 19.5 @ -39.1 )
24.5 - I905 ( 115.2 / 15.8 @ -41.1 )
22 - NSS7 ( 113.1 / 14 @ -41.9 )
15 - T12 ( 107.6 / 9.1 @ -43.8 )
12.5 - AB1 ( 105.8 / 7.4 @ -44.4 )
I was able to tune into HISPASAT @ 30W no problem last night so I continued to try and get further east. I didn't have an accurate compass but roughly 5-10 degrees lower in elevation and a little east (5-10 deg) of HISPA 30 I tuned into another satellite.
Looking at lyngsat and the spot beams it appears it is most likely I905 or NSS7 (and highly unlikely to be T12 (i didn't go that low in elevation). Additionally I905 is outside of the "standard" lnb range so I doubt it would have been that bird, so it only leaves NSS7.
I did a blind scan and the transponders I came up with were at
xxxxxx
I can't say if they are H or V because I also think my NORSAT lnb is only one polarization but the channels I came up with were called:
BT-ESPN1 (no audio or video present)
BT-ESPN2 (no audio or video present)
NSL70048 (appears to be camera of some road?)
The funny thing is that none of these channels show up in lyngsat nor do any of the satellites have transponders near XXXXX
Does anyone have any idea of what satellite this is? I am going to try and get the
Thanks so much,
Mike
