With the recent BP oil disaster and the work being done with ROV, plus having a long history as a scuba diver and part time commercial diver, I have a fascination with the operation of those ROV's I've been mesmerized with the BP operations videos over the past several weeks. I have training in underwater ROV cameras as well as one and two man deep exploration submarines. So, I thought, having a PS3 and an XBOX 360, there must be a good SIM game or under deep water problem solving game out there. But, my search has turned up very little. The best so far was a simple ipad game where you become a turtle trained to attach a recovery hook on a drum of hazardous waste for surface recovery. You can guide the turtle over the sea floor to find and attach asomething to the drum. But that's it. Heck for $.99 what did I expect?

I'm looking for something much better, more like the complexity of Bioshock for my real game machines.

I went through every XBOX PS2 and 3 and Wii game at Blockbuster and Best Buy and have done exhaustive searches on the internet and You Tube but have come up with nothing. There doesn't seem to be many games at all with an underwater theme.

Only one that I know of that come's close is Endless Ocean for the Wii.

Thanks, I looked at some review videos and it is kind of cute but not exactly what I was looking for. Interesting it is just on the Wii. Don't have one of those but if I find some compelling games on the Wii I may consider adding one to my HT. Have the PS3 and XBOX360 now.

While this is not a "game" it is an interesting training system. I registered and got a demo version of the system and it is more like a typical training aid that runs on the PC. Thanks for the link / lead. Still searching...

Bob- I'll probably check this out when it hits BB rental. But by description it is not at all what I'm looking for. Seems like a wide open area for game developers.

I'm into Bioshock 2 right now which has some interesting exploration mazes and good simulated hard hat style underwater movement. I've rented this several times lately.
