Well one of our two 722s hard rive seems to have gone out.
Tried rebooting, pulling plug etc. No go.
How long are the warranties on leased?
We've always owned our equipment before with no problems for over 10 yeaars.
Gt leased units in January and now this.

If warranty is out- how long after signing up for equipment warranty would we have to wait to request service on unit.

If we are "moved" will they ship to billing address?

Warranty is 1 year, but even if it is out, you just call and sign up for Dish Home Protection Plan, then call back and get it replaced.

I don't know that you need their expensive warrantee unless you want them to come out and replace the unit. You can do that yourself. My 322 went bad after a few years and they just gave me a new one. No warrantee. No cost. No shipping charges (I just gave it to the tech who coincidently happened to be at my place installing a new HD dish).

I don't think you need DHPP to get a replacement for a leased receiver. I never used to have to have it when I had my 942's replaced.
942's were replaced free for MPEG4 reasons. You need DHPP for the 622/722.

Without DHPP, you have to pay for shipping of the replacement receiver, which is $14.95. With DHPP, shipping is "free". I just did this last night... When it was determined that I needed to replace my 622, I asked the tech rep if I needed to add "DHPP" to my account first. She said I didn't have to, but it would save me $10 if I did. So, she added DHPP and then processed the replacement receiver. :D

Called night before last- got great help from customer tech and they are sending out a replacement - no charge- determined that drive went out.

Got tracking number and so far very pleased with the service. Hope it works.
