Well I'm trying to get G10R this hot Sunday morning and up on the roof with all the gear.I have found 119 and went alittle further west and down a little, then got a signal.
It is on 11.718 H and a SR of 27.692, all those channels are scrambled so where am i and is there a strong TP to look for.
Also quite hard to see the TV monitor outside.

Dave:hatsoff:

I dont think thats G10R? My strongest transponder on 10 R is 12114/V/444/AUTO at 70%

Thanks an why aren't you on you roof today.LOL

I have been already:eek: Got T5 tweaked in pretty good, just need to tie down all of the coax now.

Eastcoast

sounds like you are on 127, need to move it a little east now :)

11799 V 26660 is one of the stronger ones to get (may show as 11800 in your receiver for frequency)

Thanks Guys, it looks like i managed to pull it in although the Q is about 64% on my coolsat and jumping around a little. The wind is gusting to 70 km per hr here besides being hot.
I have to tighten up the 33 in dish (cheap type) and maybe put a support on it as I have it strapped to the chimney.
Meanwhile thats not too bad considering G10R is only about 5 deg on my western horizon.

what kind of quality is on these TP's?

12114 V 4444
12104 V 2222

Those show 75-79 on my Coolsat 5000

I am thinking Tony or Pete could combine the best of the finding g10 posts and put it in the FAQ section. This has got to be one of the most often asked for info.

whoops. I was referring to eastcoast...since he has such a low number on the main TP there (11799)

12114 64-69%
12104 nothing
11805 H 4580 70-87%
11800 66% and drops off to nothing

Still have gusty winds here up to 70 kmph

sounds like the winds are goofing it up

right now on my 30"/.4 LNB I have
11800 72
11720 69 (woo hoo!)
12104 70
12114 78
11805 H 82

This is in MN...little bit of wind but HOT

well that 33 in dish is more of the flimsey type with 2 bolts on the bracket to hold it onto the post and that wind is out of the west head on into the dish. Will have to see what happens when the wind drops may be able to tweak it some. Also got the skew set to 40 deg is that right I'm at 47 N and 52 west.
