DITTO ALL the above. You are basically operating as commercial reseller although likely with the best intentions. The FRAT should have setup everything commercially and then had each tenant pay in some way to satisfy their part; maybe through dues, rent or some other fees you guys likely pay into; but it SHOULD be handled through the FRAT, not as individuals acting as your family (aka a residential acct). Doing it this way should have never been allowed in the 1st place and I too am surprised it took this long.

The best bet to me is to wait it out, see what THEY offer, then maybe each tenant gets their own services and billing acct as they migrate OFF your acct. Sounds like you need a multi-unit dwelling dish system setup if thats not what you have now. How do you all connect now?

We all connect through 3 regular dishes and one HD dish that were all professionally installed by a licensed DirecTV installer on DirecTV work orders.

Then I will reiterate what Jason said before; just allow them to do their jobs by coming in and looking around and answer whatever questions they ask for their research. You should be all good; at worst they may simply require you to NOT be the sole acct name and ask the others to "spin-off" as it were. No biggie!

I highly doubt they would take you to court. They will either convert the account (to a much higher bill - think $40+ per room) or just close the account.

The people that end up in court are sports bar, or people reselling for profits.

Yep, IF (see I said IF) if you are making ANY profit out of this you sure best hope that no one they talk to leaks this out; because that may just get you in some serious hot water. Even over a few bucks IMHO!

I am definitely not making any sort of profit. I just got off the phone with someone in the billing department who told me that there are no flags on my account, no holds on my account, and everything on my account is clear. He also said that after a certain amount of receivers ANY account is looked at.

Ahh, yes I do enjoy my Jim Beam Black. Rarely do I get a chance to hit the small batch versions in the avatar; they can be rather hard to locate (at least in a bar; liquor stores have them, but wow, the cost per bottle!)
