Hi. I got my dish setup in and might brave the snow to try to set it up. I have aimed dishes before for dish network and directv, is this pretty much the same thing but without the skew? Just make sure everything is plumb and aim away? For the LNB, do I just mount it so the connector faces down? or do I have to rotate it for fine tuning?

My postal code is 03054. I am guessing I aim it at compass 237 then possibly subtract 19 degrees for magnetic compensation? Also, what elevation am I looking at?

I was planning on trying to use the LED meter on the front of the Traxis 3500, Anyone have luck with this or should I try to setup a tv somewhere and listen for the tone to change?

In the mean time I'll be shoveling a spot and assembling the dish.

Thanks!

For a fixed dish, it's pretty much the same, and yes the pole needs to be plumb as possible. On a fixed dish you will need to set the skew of the lnbf, facing the dish, you will move the bottom toward your right. The angles I got from Sadoun for G10 are:
03054 Merrimack, H.N.
Latitude = 42.8N
Longitude = 71.5W
Elevation = 18.1
Azimuth = 241.6
Skew = 40.2
However, I got this from Satellite AV:
Latitude = 42.8N
Longitude = 71.5W
Azimuth = 241.6
Compass reading = 256.1
Skew = 40.2
Elevation = 19

Good Luck!

Al
