HDTV Upconverters

Anyone here have any experience with products like this? I see there are a handful out there, but are they worth anything?

Most good HDTV's upconvert pretty good. I know my TV upconverts much better than my 811 does. You will never get HDTV quality from a upconverted non-HD source. If it was that simple, why bother even getting an real HDTV service (dish/cable) or OTA HDTV? Are they worth anything? Not to me, my TV does a fine job upconverting.
