HDMI to Component Adapters

My local electronics / IT friend says that Fry's has HDMI to everything converter boxes -- he got one, and he is as cheap as I am. I think Fry's has a website, but i do not know where or how to use it. They come from China/Korea and the copy guard does not seem to guard right....

This is the unit I picked up off eBay for about $35. Contrary to the title it only supports up to 1080i and not 1080p. Looks to me like the same unit that Monoprice used to sell. I usually buy from Monoprice when I can but they do not appear to carry this anymore.

Hi guys,
If you follow that link you'll see a cable from HDMI to 5 RCA jacks. Would that cable give me AC3 that I could plug into my AV reciever or is AC3 just fibre/single coax? It doesn't have HDMI but it will take the 5 signals.

Pretty sure you would have to have toslink or digital coaxial to get AC3.
