For years I've been able to split my HDMI with a Rocketfish 1-in 2-out splitter to run a tv on my outside patio. Now I get the "your tv doesn't support this cable, switch to composite" error. I researched that the error is a new software update in July. Does anyone have a work around or another splitter option? Thanks.

Have you tried to reset everything?....TV the last one to reset...

A number of people have reported that the Rocketfish splitter (I'm guessing which model this is) is NOT HDCP compliant. Try monoprice for powered splitters which support HDCP.

Just an update. I bought a Etekcity HDV-312 and it works great!
