HDMI Cable

I was just wondering... there are so many different HD Cables that range in price ive seen go from $29 to $200... im sure they get higher, but what is the difference? i got the cheapest one i could find for $30 at walmart, it's 6ft long. so i was just wondering is there difference in picture quality and sound and stuff? or is it just name brands and lengths?

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE in PQ or AQ with digital signals over short (less than 10 feet) runs.

You don't need to spend more than $10 (really $6) for a six foot HDMI cable.

I spent around $11.00 for HDMI - DVI cable and think it all looks good.

I got a couple from monoprice for about $6 each and they work great.

If you haven't opened the WalMart one yet, I'd return it. $30 is about three times what you would have paid for an even better cable from MonoPrice. I'd even try returning the WalMart one opened, they might still accept it.

You will have a few people believe that there is a difference in hdmi cables. A clerk at hhgregg swore he can tell a difference. I told him I would put my .23 hdmi cable against his "gold" plated Monster cable that cost around $120 anytime.
