Unfortunately, I live in Mediacom's market (Navarre, FL). Has anyone heard any rumors of when they'll add HD locals? Now all they have is NBC. I could really use some HD ABC during this football season.
it's all up to Mediacom & the local broadcast provider to come up with an Agreement as Mediacom charges a fee for local HD carriage.
Here in Central Iowa, Sinclair, the local operator of the Fox affiliate, is asking in the neighborhood of $0.50 per subscriber for Mediacom to carry Fox in HD and Sinclair isn't backing down from the price. On Sinclair's homepage, www.sbgi.net , there's a link to a website called www.myfreehdtv.org , which $inclair is a "proud supporter of" .
If any of your locals are owned by &inclair, it's highly unlikely that your local company will carry the hd signal
