HD Receiver

I had Voom service and it was shut down a few months ago and now I am with Directv again. Is there any way to use the Voom HD receiver for Directv HD or do I have to buy a Directv HD receiver. If so what do I have to do to make it work with Directv? Also if i have to buy a new receiver, is there anyplace I can just buy only the receiver, no card, no dish, just the receiver?

Ebay, classified area on this board, a pawn shop, newspaper classified, friends with older models no longer in use (maybe FREE).
