HD Platinum/US???

Sorry if this is old but I've never seen a definitive answer.........:confused:

Do current HD Gold customers get Platinum added for free by calling/chatting or not? I see the info posted for PR but I've not seen it for customers in the U.S. If I missed it/can't find it please forgive me.:rolleyes:

Alright, I apologize. I guess I sorta found the answer.:rolleyes:Looks like the answer is yes but at the risk of losing my bundle discounts. I had/have DVR Advantage 200 with 250 pack, HD Gold, HBO and .01 Max. Don't know if I wanna gamble on my bill going up.

Do you have to call, or can you just go online and drop HD package as well as the Platinum package then right afterwards (or after that takes effect) added the new HD + Platinum package?

I did a chat to switch to HD + Platinum for $10.00

My online account was only showing Gold HD and Platinum HD as 2 separate options. Once the CSR switched it the new package showed as one line item.

Is the online ordering page not working for you? The best way is to avoid dealing with people.
 
The only thing I did was log onto my account, clicked on Add/Change Programming, unchecked the options for HD Gold and HD Platinum, then clicked Review and Order. Click the Back button and you will see the HD + Platinum option for $10. I had the AT250 package but decided to just upgrade to the AEP since Sho and HBO are free for three months. I dropped AEP about 6 months ago and decided to re-sub again.

I can confirm that my bill went down by the $10 before I did the AEP upgrade. After the AEP upgrade from AT250+HD Gold+HD Plat my bill only went up $5.

I tried that, when I hit the back, I saw platinum was still an additional $10. One thing that may matter, I see that you are referring to AT250, I have classic gold 250 with gold HD and Platinum added on. Is AT250 and classic gold 250 the same thing, or does the offer only apply with at250?

I should just drop Plat completely but my wife likes a couple of the channels.
 
That's what I did, jevans, to add Platinum at no charge. Unclicked Gold and hit Review and Order. Once I did that, it flashed up a screen saying that it would disable HD and add a $5 per month charge for having an HD receiver with no HD programming. I had to click on the HD programming again, but this time it said HD + Platinum. Bill stayed exactly the same but now have Platinum.
 
I see the error in my ways, I didn't get the gold part of the hd programming taken off, I just did that, and it popped up hd +plat = $10. It also changed from classic hd sliver with another entry for gold (57+10) to classic hd gold for 67. So I got it, if everything goes right on DN's end (I've had the computer screw things up before too)
