Who do we complain to? Freedom Corp(parent company) or
station director ( who is this) or program director???
I called Dish and the REP says they don't have them yet...... What the crap? Does these REPs not know anything? I'm sure I have to get another dish or have it repointed, I would just like to have it setup if I do.... Anyone else getting this same info from the REP at Dish?
Ok.... I finally got someone good on the phone and they did some searching and they will be on tomorrow.
Then I can make the call to get another dish pointed at 65.1. JOY!

I just got the same info initially, but they did more digging and found it. But they want a new 2 year agreement to add the wing and can't do it any sooner than 7/12. You'd think since they knew ithis was coming, they would be better prepared to handle our needs.
As long as it's before football season i'm good!!!! Just hope CBS WWMT, decides to pull their head out and agree already.....
Yesterday Dish said it was a free upgrade with a new 2 year contract, so I don't get it! I don't know which way is better. One way or another, i'll get it installed.
Local HD Grand Rapids market
I called this morning to get my wing dish installed. Tech insisted it would cost me $59.00 - no if, ands, or buts. I asked to speak to her superior who also insisted there would be a $59.00 cost, however he would waive the $59.00 in my case because I was a long time subscriber and he went ahead and ordered my installation. The installation date would be 7/14.
Then it got sort of strange. I was watching a local channel as I was speaking with him. Almost simultaneous to the conversation I lost all my local channels. I asked him what happened and was told I would get them back when the order was completed on 7/14. It isn't a big deal for me because I can get them OTA, but it does seem strange. Anyone else have this experience?

That sounds like a bunch of crap. You will have your regular locals in addition to HD locals.
Not party time if you have to pay or sign a new contract for another dish. We did this to get HD programing to begin with. How many subscribers had the 1000.2 dish installed to get HD and now be told, (by dishnetwork) that you have to pay for another dish. You are really screwed if you have no line of sight to 61.5. Yet another dishnetwork customer care exclusive. I guess we need to hope that no more sat launches crash and burn or we will have to install a tower with mutiple dishes to pickup additional programing.

ALWAYS deal with the exec office via email.....you'll be happy you did!
(ALREADY have a GOOD OTA setup, so I'm getting 3,8,17,41 in HD)
But NOW, I'll be able to record THREE different network HD shows at once!!
Good thing I have (2) 750 GIG EHD's
NO FEE to pay

This is a bunch of bull. The day I pay an additional $59 for this, is the day I die. I'll live without it first. Waiting all this time for HD locals and had no clue we'd need some additional dish. My dish is on a roofline over a walkout basement. It's pro installation stuff, all the way.
I didn't even know we now had HD's available, until just now. Guess I'll be contacting Dish soon.
That CBS channel stuff is a real bunch of bunk, too. That's the one channel we want the most, with NFL, NCAAs, etc. I recall they were the holdout on Comcast, too. If I was Dish I'd tell them to shove it. Obviously they think they're much more mighty than they really are.
