Hi, I am hoping you can help me. I had Directv install the HD DVR on Saturday with their OTA. I can view channels 4 and 5 in HD but I cannot receive any of the other OTA channels such as channel 7, FOX, 38 and 56 in HD. I live 20 miles south of Boston. All I get when I try to view them is searching for a signal. Do you think the Zenith sensor antenna will help or could the problem be in my satellite receiver. All of the regular satellite stations come in just fine. Thank you for your help

Satellite and OTA reception are 2 totally different things. Sounds like you just need a better OTA antenna; DirecTV has no control of the quality of these OTA signals or their availability.

Check antennaweb.org to see what would be best for your situation; sometimes all you need is a single directional antenna, but there are cases where a multi-directional antenna is needed due to the TV towers being in different directions from your location.

Terrain, trees and tall buildings will also factor into the equation, so even though you may only be a certain distance from the furthest tower, you should get an antenna that will exceed that distance. Antennaweb.org will tell you both the distance, and the direction from any address your type in.

I like these antennas (depending on your range & need) talk to some local friends close by and see what they use also. Good luck and welcome.
