I have Yahama v663 receiver connected to my directv through HDMI. I've just noticed recently though this week that with my Directv the sound of the LOCAL hdtv channels is much worse than the non-HD channels. It seems that the non-HD channels show PCM on the receiver. When i change to HD, it shows Dolby Digital and I can't seem to turn off the Dolby Digital and just go to Neural.
Is this just an automated signal its getting from Directv HD? Why do the local-only HD channels sound so much worse than the non-HD and what can i do?
