HD DVR Receiver - Off Air IN connection

Quick question. I know the Off Air In is to receive local channels from antenna. But how would you access this via the menu's on the receiver? And would I be able to connect a standard cable connection (no digital box, just straight in the house) for viewing as well?

I have not actually connected anything, but before I go through all the trouble, I wanted to see how to access once connected.

Once you run setup on the HD DVR (HR20 or HR2x/AM21) and enter your zipcode, the guide for OTA is incorporated into the guide. To select the channels, either use the guide or enter the channel as xx-z.

And no, standard cable won't work.
