HD-DVR Question

I haven't seen any post about people with the current HD-DVR and what they are doing for the upgrade. Will DirecTV let me buy a H20 then let me swap my old HD-DVR for the new one once it comes out? Or are they making you swap out your $700 DVR for the free (After Rebate) H-20?
I am in the DC Market, any ideas?

Just wait till the new HD-DVR comes out next spring and do the swap then, at the most it will be 99 bucks from what the foodchain is saying.
