First, this is posted in the War Zone rather than the HD-DVD forum because Blu-ray is briefly discussed, and it could be a bit controversial.
One of the first Adult Entertainment (AE) releases, "Island Fever 3," was panned in a DVDFile column. "...The AE industry is going to have to do better than this if it expects to capitalize on the transition to high definition. ....Without better visual quality, it’s unlikely that AE will affect the format war in any way...."
While the PQ could have been just as poor on BD, the fact that little to no improvement over DVD was evident just lends credence to the AE industry having little to no influence over the eventual high def disc winner (if only one wins).
