HD Capture via SC

Is anyone using the R5000HD or AVX169time to capture HD programming from SC - or any other method? I am told it's possible - but have yet to find anyone actually doing it.

According to the R5000-HD site, they support the:

* HDD-200 & HDD-1000 Now available for 4DTV and StarChoice!
(Note: full PVR capabilities may not be available depending on receiver make and model -may require manually switching satellites). Currently supported recievers include Motorola/GI 905, 920 & 922. StarChoice DSR-421/451.

I cant seem to find any details for the R5000HD about HOW it gets its stream, but it pulls streams via Firewire, then the DSR500/505 would not be compatable..

It pulls it via usb that is added to the box.

then it is not on the supported IRD list, so would not be compatible.

I'm waiting for mpeg4 anyways that's why I sold my r5000. mpeg2 storage was getting to be a real pain.

The R5000 uses the HDD200 (or HDD1000) for StarChoice in combination with a DSR405 or the like (that is how it works with a 4DTV system as well, but the C Band Motorola Receiver instead of a DSR405).

I knew that part. However, as I asked, is anyone actually using this or another system for HD Captures with Star Choice?

The room seems very quiet.
