hd aspect ratio problem

I think someone has had this same problem, but I can't find the posts.
Most of my HD content is fine in good 'ol 16:9 format, but I noticed the local OTA WB last night was 4:3 with bars on top and bottom, too! The show plainly said as it come on that the broadcast was in HD where available. It didn't look very HD, either. Again, my other stations seem fine. My WB channel is definitely digital, but is it probably just not being broadcast in HD?

check the website of your local WB channel, it should say what they are broadcasting

If you had bars top and bottom and it was 4:3, more than likely they inserted the 4:3 image into a 16:9 HD frame.

Find out the email address of your local station engineers and report problems back to them. Most engineers are grateful for the feedback because a lot of stations don't even monitor their digital channels.
