After some careful consideration I decided to cancel Showtime since I rarely watch it now that Homeland and Dexter are off. So I went to the website and did a change plan operation. I was able to cancel the Showtime $14 charge. First a popup made an offer to continue it at $9 but that was not good enough discount to keep something I hardly ever watch anymore. So I declined and then clicked on the submit and an error popped up that said they were unable to execute my request. No further information offered. After a couple tries with the same result I sent them a note advising them of what I did and the error message. They said thank you for the report but I would not get a response.
About 3 hours later, I saw my Showtime disappeared from my program guide. I just checked and "My programming" was corrected to reflect my request to cancel Showtime and my bill is appropriately reduced.
My compliments to the Dish Employee who stepped up to the plate and executed my request without arguments.
Customer service at it's best. Maybe they will also fix the error on the web page that generates an error.
