Harmony 550/ViP 722 power on/off

greetings,

i've read through the posts re. Harmony remotes, and still can't fix this problem.

i have a Harmony 550 and ViP722.

the 550 controls the 722 except for powering on and off.

in activities, when i start the system, the 722 does not power up. the screen saver is on and if i push select, it turns on.

then shutting everything off using the 550 power off button, the 722 does not shut off.

-i have changed to Pro Band B
-tried discrete power on/off
-changed the reciever model to DVR-510 in the 550 (this works to power on/off, but other button functions where missing)
-if i use the power toggle button in the 550 devices, it powers off the 722, so power toggle is the right button.
-changed the order that things turn on

i am at a loss for the next thing to try.
any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried Power Toggle setting on the Harmony? This works for me.

What happens when you try the help feature? Does it turn the Dish receiver on/off as appropriate? If it does I would check your watch TV activity and see what devices you have set to be on.

i got !!

i had the device setting for always leave the 722 on.

this didn't make sense because i wanted to leave it on when changing activities.

so i set it to turn off when not used.

but, i set the activity to leave unused devices on.

so now the 722 turns on and off correctly and stays on when switching from one activity to another.
