I have a 722, getting a replacement, (I did try the unplug several times, did not work). I did some research on the forums and from what I've read it looks like I am out of luck. I am really going to hate losing all the recordings on my receiver. Is there ANY way to recover them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not able to access the DVR menu, there is not going to be any way to recover them :(. If you can access it (assuming the recordings were not deleted), you can transfer any recordings that are on the receiver to an external hard drive, which would also work with the replacement receiver.
