Can't say I make any recomendations for Hallmark movies, but I will have the DVR set for tonight, as they will be showing the Gordie Howe story. Hopefully it's a good one

IIRC its a Canadian production...so it should be fairly accurate and well researched considering Howe is a hockey god in the great white north.

I remember reading it was going to be on CBC, glad it's being shown in the states for those who don't have access to CBC

How close are you to the boarder? ie- CBC OTA. Also, can you get CBC on C-band? CBC is Canada's version of PBS but its good some really good hockey coverage, documentaries and shows (ie- Dragon's Den which is the CA version of Shark Thank).

A few years ago there was an awesome show called Intelligence (espionage based). Since the bulk of CBC viewers are from the Toronto area, and the Leafs weren't making the playoffs, CBC lost so much potentional revenue that it was forced to cancel5 shows that year. Another reason to hate the Leafs.

Not an Academy Award winner, but very interesting for us hockey fans. Offhand, I was kind of surprised the movie was 99% about Mr. Hockey's post Red Wings career. I wanted to see his early years in hockey and the people, places and events of the Wings Stanley Cup decade of the '50s...Lindsay, Abel, Delvecchio and Sawchuk. Instead, we see him playing with his sons down in Houston. Sure, there was some interesting information about the events that brought about the NHL's merger, but I wanted to see something more from his years with the Wings.

Boxing back on broadcast!!

The greatest tirade EVER recorded by a manager or coach!
