My HR10-250 HD DVR was just installed. The picture quality is much worse than the H 20 receiver I was using. I still own the H 20 and wondered if both receivers could be connected simultaneously to my TV. I could connect one via components and the other via HDMI. This would allow me to switch back and forth. Could I split the signal for this purpose? If so, would the network cards preclude this setup? Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Yes...
I had this setup for about 8 months...

You can't "split" the signal.. you will need run a 3rd SAT line, or only use the HR10-250 with one line.

Thanks for the reply. Which hr10-250 line to use? Does the 2nd line go into the h20?

If you only have TWO lines available from your dish..

Then one to INPUT 1 of the HR10-250 and one to the H20

If you can run a third line... then TWO to the HR10-250 and one to the H20...

That way you could use both to their fullest...

Or you can just save your pennies and get the HR20 :D

Thanks for the help. What would be the effect on the HR10-250 and the H20 with only one line each?

The only effect woudl be that the HR10-250 would only be able to record 1 item at a time (instead of 2)
