Spoke with DirecTV and sure enough the software patch they pushed down DID have a negative impact on the HDMI interface and they are aware of the issue.

He indicated that a new patched version will be available within two weeks and should be distributed to fix this as well as a few other bugs introduced with the last release.

Any Idea if this patch might hit more markets? I am hating the sound being off with the picture if my chicago market and I can not get the newest update because I was not in the test mearket.
